DESCRIPTION:March 29\, 2023\, marks the 50th Anniversary of when the last U.S. troops left Vietnam and the final group of American prisoners of war (POWs) were freed and left Hanoi.\n\nOn this day\, American Legion Post 8 will host a special ceremony at the Vietnam War Memorial at City Hall - 515 North Ave at 6PM. The ceremony will feature several guest speakers and a reading of the names of New Rochelle residents KIA.\n\nVeterans of the Vietnam War endured heroic\, harrowing and heartbreaking experiences during the war which changed their lives and the lives of their families forever. The New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce would like to express our sincere gratitude for their service to our country.\n\n\n\nGod Bless America!
