SUMMARY:Rev Fest 250
DESCRIPTION:As the nation reflects on the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution\, Westchester County will host REV FEST 250 - a first-of-its-kind immersive weekend experience at Croton Point Park in New York's scenic Hudson Valley. A contemporary look at a historical moment\, REV FEST 250 tells the story of the American Revolution from multiple perspectives patriots\, loyalists\, and those caught in between. Through reenactments\, drills\, music\, and interactive demonstrations\, attendees will be transported into a living 18th-century world that makes the past feel relatable. Thousands of people from the tri-state region are expected to attend the event\, which is part of Westchester's official Semiquincentennial (250th) commemoration of the American Revolution. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience an event unlike anything else in the region. Don't miss the opportunity to:\n\nParticipate in drills and meet costumed historical reenactors including Benedict Arnold\; John Andr \; Deborah Sampson\, who disguised herself to join the Continental Army\; and Black soldiers who were both loyalists and patriots.Watch a horseback cavalry in action and stroll the historic encampment with 18th-century crafts and demonstrations including blacksmithing\, map making\, basket weaving and woodworking. \n\nRaise your voice at the Hamilton Sing-Along\, dance with the Sankofa Drum and Dance Ensemble\, experience the magic of the award winning Westchester Symphonic Winds and be mesmerized by the storytelling of Jonathan Kruk all of these and more\, taking place on two vibrant stages and throughout the grounds. \n\n\n\nREV FEST 250 highlights Westchester's important and often overlooked role in the American Revolution and is a major anchor in a broader regional campaign to drive cultural tourism and economic recovery\, culminating in a dramatic 2026 reenactment of the Battle of White Plains.
