Description
Film Screening and Discussion
Free for All: The Public Library
THURSDAY, JUNE 5 · 6:00 PM
Free for All: The Public Library tells the story of the quiet revolutionaries who made a simple idea happen. From the pioneering women behind the “Free Library Movement” to today's librarians who service the public despite working in a contentious age of closures and book bans, meet those who created a civic institution where everything is free and the doors are open to all.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with New Rochelle Public Library (NRPL) Director Eugenia Schatoff, Executive Director Westchester Library System Terry Kirchner, Lifelong Educator, and Author Dr. La Ruth H. Gray, and NRPL Trustee Tatiana Infante. New Rochelle Public Library Foundation Board Member Theresa Kump Leghorn will moderate the discussion.
This program is co-hosted by the Library and the New Rochelle Public Library Foundation. Join us for light refreshments following the program.
