Description
The Fuller Center for Housing of Greater New York City continues their weeklong MLK Buildathon this weekend through Monday, January 23. It's a fantastic team building experience. Volunteering with the Fuller Center is also great for individuals who want to give back to the community and a fabulous way to introduce teens to the importance of volunteering. Last week the Seshan family, Iona Mission & Ministry, the Westchester Jewish Center, Tuckahoe High School, Columbia Prep students, Neuro Alert and Starbucks employees and many other companies, congregations, and individuals participated. Everyone's welcome and no building experience is necessary
“We hold our MLK Build a Thon to honor his life and his dream. Our dream comes when we can build a home for someone and watch them sign that mortgage. We have a dream that everyone can have a decent home. We will be doing it all week and come one and all. The more the merrier,” said Jim Killoran, President of the Fuller Center.
